I'm so crazy, me and my crazy opinions about all this corruption in this nation. And how it has sped out over so much of this world. That there is such a thing as those running the show (globally).
(And like I've said about the covert world, right down to the local law enforcement. If someone was not in charge of it all, we would have all kinds of under covers running into each other. Wasting time investigating gangs that turn out to be undercover units etc. And there would be lots of shootings in the streets, like in the movies. And imo that is one of the reasons for the scenes in the movies. To make everyone think its like that. Like the war games and movies. Be sure and catch "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, spy").
Look at all this craziness I found on 60 minutes (CNBC) the other night.
UBS bank, employee Bradley Birkenfeld i.e. and American Banker who formerly worked for UBS bank aka a Tax fraud whistle blower. In the segment they used the term "Toxic waist" recall the term Toxic assets" used to describe U.S. bank holdings etc. You know the ones the bailout money was so pose to be used to buy, but the banks never sold.
So in 2007 the U.S. government ask the UBS in Switzerland to hand over the books. "You've got an AL-queeeEEEEdah, infestation, we need to know everything to be safe, oh yeah and trust us. LOL. And dose anyone think it was just a coincidence that when the U.S. asked for the books, that the first ever defector within the Switzerland banking system comes a knocking. But it took the CIA ten years to find Usama? Uncle Sam's Arab man in Afghanistan.
There were supposedly 14,700 U.S. citizens who came running in from the cold i.e. turnned over their account into. However Birkenfeld mentioned the figure 19,000 plus, that he turn over. The term "financial weapons of mass destruction" (a Warren Buffett term) was also used to describe CDSs that's Credit derivative swops.
The segment also talked about how this practice was outlawed in the early 20th century. They call the places that did this under the table, "bucket shops". And blamed them in part, for the "great depression" of the 1920s.
However the 106th Congress thought, surly the "greed" is good and pigs can fly. So then they said "yea" to doing away with those silly laws that outlawed the practice and "Yea" to the "commodity future investment act" I believe it was and let the chips fall where they may.
Casino capitalism, what could be wrong with that.
But don't nobody worry about all this, its all under control now. The machine is doing just find and I'm crazy not the "debt as money" system (see link to video under
'other sites I find of interest").
Update, I fallowed the link myself to make sure it was still working. And noticed and clicked on another video titled, "well hunting got it right 14 years ago". And would like to just mention how imo this works in the real world. And that is to say that you see, people like will and me end up being used by the machine for all we're worth with out any of the benefits. I'm no genius, I can barely read, my talents, i'll say are natural free thinking etc. But I do agree with everything will said in the video.
Like I've said before, give me the "Kings truth" and ill figure "it" out for you and when WWIII brakes out, you want me on your side.

coincidences of conveniences

Update; 12/28/11 10;23 hours I have now added my SWAGs below on the Russian article.
Lets all recall the controversy over the cover story on O.J. Simson. The one that was so dark. I'm not going to research it all, but I seem to recall that Time claimed it did not mean to look prejudice etc.
Now lets look at the cover and coverage of Rumney in the December 12 2011 issue.
Then just inside the cover we see this photo. LOL.
I Just thought it was funny how IMO Time Magazine made Rumney look like a preppy sissy type of a man, with his hand on his hip.
You can even see big burly farmer types of men laughing on the front row. I know, I know, who knows what they are laughing at! Maybe a joke Romney told. However in the context of the story its at least pure taste to choose this photo.
But wait there's more, we all know the man is accused all the the time, of being a "flip floppier". As if all the other Washington crowd is so loyal to the people.
Here in this image, the seam of the pages is right down the middle of Romneys face i.e. as if to suggest there are two of him or that he is a "doctor jeckel and Mr. hide" i.e. there are two sides.
So then just before this main article we find this.
The main point that I wish to counter here, is that the U.S. is looking for a civilian government to counter the Military in Pakistan.
IMO the U.S. has exactly what it wants with the military in charge. Lets recall when General Pervez Musharraf took charge. OH, the U.S. was up set. That SOB etc. the U.S. levied sanctions too. However we all know that sanctions always hurt the people, not those in charge. So IMO the sanctions were to assist the military in keeping control i.e. the civilian politicians were much less capable of helping the people.
And then we all know what happen after 9-11 i.e. Musharraf fell into formation in lock step.
Now lets go back to the question of cutting off aid to the Pakistan military today. My question is what is so different now than right after 9-11. My point is that if I'm wrong (about the U.S. having exactly what it wants now) and the U.S. at that time (after 9-11) gave Pakistan the old "your either with us or against us" (with gun in hand) ultimatum. Why is that so impossible today. Where we bluffing?
So why would the U.S. not want Pakistan to be ruled by the civilized educated (non book thumping) civilian Pakistanis?
IMO its because there would be peace between Pakistan and India, and China and Russia and Israel and Oh well its that shit again.
I have predicted that Russia, China, India and Israel will form an alliance in the future and kick the U.S. out of the east and Europe well set this one out.
And oh by the way after the main article we find the article on this man. Erdogan. Recall know the joke pasted around in the 80s i.e. the joke was, "who lots Turkey". IMO the CIA has never dropped the ball.
So IMO Erdogan is a "have" i.e. he is promoting the same world order no waves, don't rock the boat.
And yes imo it is kind of a reverse psychology message too i.e. why can't we find an Erdogan in Pakistan. However I believe there are lots of people in Pakistan that would truly do the right things for the people, if given a chance. Like I said Erdogan is a puppet. The CIA never lots Turkey.
And then along the lines of Reverse psychology, we have the negative media coverage of nations like Egypt and Bahrain using U.S. made weapons to kill civilians but no were near as much coverage of Israel doing the same.
My point is that the U.S. is not run by "book thumpers" i.e. religious freaks. No those running things here in the U.S. use the Shepherds to control the sheephood.
Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

I suggest this may be what the man was talking about when he wrote the book "treasure islands" i.e. U.S. financial mafia's like Bank of a America etc, steeling everything they could from the Russians.
"Kaliningrad" lol its a port, and you see in Russia imo, it is the mobs that are on the side of the "have not" i.e. they are fighting the Gov. Think "Vorovskoy mir" or "Vory V Zakone" with their eight pointed stars tattoo on their collarbone, and knee caps, aka "bitches" I believe that is what they refer to themselves as. And Kaliningrad is a port city right. With easy access to other European markets. etc. But with the more lacks Russian customs rules.

The spy that loathe me

On this so called Marine spy shown in Iran. I have read nothing on this, all I know is what I've seen on CNN with two segments.
IMO he was one of these "interpreters" not a Marine in the traditional cents. And for CNN to suggest that this is not the kind of person the CIA would use is just idiotic.
What about the spy plane, why dose Iran not release measurements weights etc.
There maybe finger prints on the components, unless the U.S. operated this craft from a "clean room" hanger. Thus no prints would be interesting to know. And both the Iranians and U.S. gov would already know this to be the case.
Also IMO the craft lay in the desert a long time before the Iranians found it, thus the chartreuse color i.e. primer paint job. IMO the operational coding had biodegraded.
Like I've suggested for the true "black ops" types. I spray, that would be applied to these digital pattern camouflage utilities and turn them into a 3-D surface, like the "bumb" clothing line one can buy, where the letters stand out in 3-D. IMO it would be designed to wear off or wash out after awhile. Thus not be a big problem if a suit fill into enemy hands.
Hell for all the average person knows the craft could have been a glider that delivered the human spy. lol.
So yeah IMO the way this would have happen is that the Iranians would have discovered the spy first. Then he would have told them where the "007 bat mobeel" was lol.
Then the Iranians go public with the "bat mobeel" first, toying with the Americans.
Otherwise your left to believe the Iranians just discovered this spy and with in days go public with out knowing for sure who they have or what he maybe involved in and or with who all else.
Man I bet that was a hell of a ride i.e. being jettisoned from a B-52 like a X-15 rocket over Afghanistan and gliding hundreds of miles into Iran. He most likely did not have to pilot it i.e. it would have been remote controlled or simply GPS guided.

I thought my Russian viewers might find this interesting. It seems the world has its own flavor of poetic justice i.e. with all the turmoil in Russian now. Whats the temperature there in Russia?
And for the U.S. Kim is gone, so now what excuses well the U.S. gov. have to come up with. lol.One thing is for sure the media well drag us all through the useless bio info on all the so called potential leadership figures. My point here is that those running things have had all this figured out for years.

Man on fire

My saying below dose seem petty compared to what Mr. Muhammad Bouazizi accomplished. However its much more than most can say. When one considers all the people in the world worth or making a million a year. And all they can do is complain about, not having more or if their taxes are going to go up a few %.
After giving this all some thought I realized "petty" was not the right word, to describe my latest addition to my signature signing sayings etc. I should have wrote that me changing the world with a million dollars would not be as impressive. However I also realized all human life is priceless. Thus these are two different ways to accomplish the same thing. And I don't mean to make lite of Mr. Bouazizi's act, but imo he did not plan to set himself on fire, nor change the world. He was well educated and liked by all, proving that anyone under the right circumstances can snap if pushed to far.
Farther more I realized I had let myself fall into that "sheephood" mode and jumped on a bandwagon after hearing Mr. Daniel Ellsberg no Democracy Now suggest Mr. Bouazizi could have been the person of the year. I do agree with that, in the since that he did change the world for more people than any other single person.
However the violence in the streets of Egypt yesterday proves the jury is still out on weather or not Mr. Bouazizi's act will change things for the betterment of the average person. IMO this delay (until mid 2012) to turn the Egyptian government over to the elected officials is all based on what those in the U.S. (who seem to truly believe its the Jewnited states LOL) and Israelis want.

So watching Democracy Now today 12/15/11 I learned that Dakota Meyors heroic feats we heard about do not match the evidence. Can you imagine, LOL.
If this Marine (Dakota Meyor) dose not give that metal back and tell the true he should be hounded by one of this commanding officers for life, (with out knowing which one it is for 20 years) LOL. So like I said, imo, the VAST MAJORITY (99%) of all these so called "fire fights" in Iraq and Afghanistan are nothing more than hoop and hype. And like I asked with the Army members of the second infantry division staging photos of killed civilians, "when would they have time or need to stage these dead enemies if they were fighting so many in traditional "fire fights"?

The old man is my only witness to this. The other day I told him, (for what ever reason, there again with the timing) that it just seemed to me that an lot of these "occupiers" where wearing what I described as "Palestinian head raps" you know scarfs, with black lines on white back ground. So just now the old man called me to look at the T.V. he was watching CNBC.
And they were showing the latest time mag cover, "the person of the year" the "occupier" rapped up and looking like a Palestinian terrorist. Recall I never got that time mag on the occupation movement. I bet that was the first time the cover has been shown in the western media. There again the timing.
I'm as crazy as they get. But don't no one ever try to prove me wrong. And like I've said lets start comparing notes and you can make stuff up.

All still crazzy after all these years XIV
AHOY,
Update 12/18/11 11:47 hours, I"m about do with this.
Update, 12/14/11 this morning the bike had moved from the last place I seen it i.e. in from of the condos, and parked at the ambush spot i.e. north west corner of southern intersection from our apartment. Their was an other vehicle between it and the actual corner.
NOTE; Well it looks like I can not save this addition as a draft. I had wanted to post it later to show I was not unable to control myself or that these punks had me worried. They don't to prove that I well mention that I had actually forgotten to type these notes earlier. Not to mention, I've been putting up with these childish games for almost 30 years now.
And the issue with the blog fixed itself it seems, I bet we have no more trouble with connecting either i.e. they have accomplished what they wished to for now. LOL the lights i.e. electricity just flickered for the dozenth time this mouth. LOL the boxes i.e. phone and power are right next to each other.
And one last note on the (amp) that fallows the (&) and lol that is that if a delete the (amp) its right back when I return.
Update, 12/13/11 20:03 hours just got off the phone with AT&T. I had lost my internet connection just after posting. The agent claimed they could see the dropping of the connection etc. and had done the test but could not resolve the problem. She suggested it could be the modem or the phone line connection itself. We've had them out here for that many times, like its corroded, but no one else's line in the same box is ever corroded too.
And one more note on the (&) fallowed by (amp) earlier, like I had typed it appeared normal in the note about it then after I returned to edit after posting all the (&) were fallowed with amp.

Well today 12/13/11 at 11:11 hours or so, it happened yet again i..e the bull shit internet connection games. NO ONE WELL EVER PROVE ME WRONG ABOUT THIS BULL SHIT.
The phone connection with the AT&T agent was fucked up too, I found it odd that she did not mention it until I did. And most importantly about this situation, is the timing i.e. just before I set down to log on at lunch as I do just about every day. I had been on the computer just an hour before and everything was fine.
Can everyone see the Red highlighted letters above i.e. AT&T. You see this has happened before i.e. when I type the (&) symbol just like now. It appears normal at first, just like now. But when I return later after say saving it or posting it, its got that (amp) after it.
Update 12/13/11 and I just noticed the post dose not show the (amp) after the (&). It still shows in the "posting page window etc. I'm typing in now. And it (the amp) is in the red note above too, but not when I post it.
I'm also having trouble with my blog now i.e. getting to the Dashboard etc. I'm going to try upgrading to the latest bullshit version to see if that fixes the problem. If it dose, it well be once again like I've said before i.e. that I have trouble with my computer and some then during the same time, some site I post on or view regularly well change something about their site on the same day etc. So I'm like left not knowing if its more bull shit on my computers part or what.
So just now, I decided to post this info below that I have been noting for the last few weeks or so.
There is a Motorcycle ( its not a motorcycle, I'm just using that description, like the block numbers etc.) of a particular color (only those back on the block in San Antonio or people knowing me scents then, would relate too)...
I first saw it when it was moved by a black man who came out of the condos in the 700 block, I promise you that one can count the "Muds" i.e. blacks in this area, on one hand.
He moved the Motorcycle just down into my block (600 block) and parked near the corner on the same side of the street.
Later i.e. a day or so later, it was moved farther down the way, right accross from our appartments.
Then right in fornt of our gate, where it stayed for a few days. Same spot as our neighbors favorite spot for years.
Then the Motorcycle and only my neighbors (who live in our apartments) vehicles were parked on the street, all on the same (our) side. This accrued on Thanksgiving day. Those neighbors being (Ws) (Cs) both his cars and the (Ds) her daughters. And then there was the southern neighbors new jeep. There is a history with me and him, on account of him of course. I've never met or said a dam thing to him, but he's got the attitude and has done his bit.
Then the Motorcycle was parked right at my back door, i.e. so that it was the first vehicle I would see in the morning. Again one of our neighbors favorite spots.
Then it was right on the north west corner of the intersection of our street and the next cross street to the south.
I seen the nigger, driving it leaving the neighborhood once right at the intersection to the north of our place, he had caught the traffic light at 17:30 ours.
Today 12/01/11 the bike was just around the corner at the southern intersection on the north west corner, i.e. the first one I would see as I made the corner, IMO he could have parked much closer to the corner and would have been visible to me as I exited my gate. But no, imo he wanted me to think he was not around etc. until I got right to the corner, like an ambush.
And there it set for days maybe five. The passenger door was also ajar. Then the nigger parked to the east of the intersection, on the same side of the street but a hundred or more feet away from the corner, and just for one day that I know of. IMO people know I check my perimeter around here every day.
Then he parked right back were I had first seen him come out of the condos the first time an move the bike down into my street.
Today its right back were he had moved it next i.e. across the way from our apartment and its the ONLY vehicle there i.e. parked on that side of the street.
Like musical chairs around and around we go. Yesterday there was only a short time that any other vehicles parked on the same side as the bike. I noted the vehicles on the other block (his block) were very closely parked I mean like man no one wanted to walk the extra 50 feet, except the nigger driving the bike, who lived in that block. Today hes on our side near the corner, someone else had parked right on the corner, he (the one who parked on the corner) well have to be talked to. LOL
The next day after my previous post the bike was down the block right across from the condos were I had first seen the nigger come out and move the bike. Its still there, now two days.
This evening I just noticed it, its near his corner i.e. in front of his condos with some mopeds parked right on the corner.
I have mentioned all this do to the fact that I had recently contacted an old local San Antonio gang member. And now imo all this activity is a "con job" to make me think that it is the old gang doing this. However I know this guy I talked to is okay with me, and I with him. And imo the chances of that gang, having the ability not only to do this but so quickly, dose not add up.
What dose add up is mr conway tring to make me think its the old gang. imo mr conway dose have access to my phone records etc.
I've noticed over the days as I updated this draft it was like the nigger had access to it i.e. he would move the bike the same day I posted something about it. Lets see what happens when I post it.
Oh by the way, FUCK YOU LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SPIECES OF SHIT. You well never prove me wrong about any of this bull shit. Like I've said, give me a job cleaning some place that is accessible to the public and watch it become a jump. Prove me wrong.
So yeah on the last local of the bike i.e. in my last post I had mentioned the bike was parked at the so called "ambush site" then it was back in front of the condo. Now these two moves were also braking with the counter clock wise musical chairs schema that had been used up till the latest mentioned, move to the ambush site. Then from in front of the condos, it was parked right around the corner i.e. east of the southern intersection on the condos side i.e. opposite side from the last time it was parked on that side street. Which If you will recall was after the first parking at the ambush site. LOL.
Today I have not seen it, there have been times when it was gone but never in the morning like today. So like I said that's enough and thus, I"m Mr. Coincidence (which I do not want to claim) or i'm correct about my hypothesis and no one well ever prove me wrong.

When they (rabbis preist etc.) are just being used by those truly running things to full the sheephood.
And then I saw this mud (black man) the other day down in South Africa at the climate conference, telling about how we always here from the media that the conflicts in Africa are tribal ethnic etc., when its always about the resources.

So now we're herring about this "Carrier I.Q. software. Just for analytical purposes. lol.
You see its time for us all to admit and conduct ourselves accordingly i.e. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PRIVACY ANY MORE.
Here are three take-a-ways to brain storm on.
1) those running things have dirt on everyone.
2) Just like all the security cameras around our cities, only those running things can use the info. Example; try going to some store management and telling them someone knocked you over in ile five and you want the tapes. Or that your car fender was scratched in their parking lot.
3) And here is one of the most important points I wish to make. Those running things also have all this info on the GANGS, DRUG DEALERS, and ORGANIZED CRIME. And those running the show allow all the thugs to carry on imo, to justify all the, restrictions (patriot act etc.) and money they funnel through the system.
IMO THERE ARE NO AL-QUEEEEEEEEdAAH AMONG US

GENERATIONS, STRATEGY'S, BLOCKS AND TACTICS
AHOY, Generations, Strategy's, Blocks and Tactics? I am going to attempt to make the case here that what we are looking at in the evolution of Warfare, is a cyclic afar not a linear continuum.
I also find it odd that those defining all these so called "generations of warfare", usually do so based on a change in want I would call tactics. Fallowed up by the statement that tactics are for the armatures. I am sure I could have done more research here and provided dates and figures etc. However IMO this is a big old can of warms and so I'll let this be my starting salvo.
As far as Strategies go, I say ultimately you only have three choices, one, Overt operations, two Covert operations and three surrender. With either of these you can be subtle or aggressive.
With surrender it may be that the new old saying of "surrender, surrender but don't give yourself away" may be the source of the problem. That is to say, that people are individuals i.e. free spirits and thus never are able to fully buy into anyone else's ideology, no matter how hard they try. There for that old ugly head of change i.e. conflict, keeps raising its head. Plan old bordum could also play apart i.e utopia is just too dam boring.
So, the 1st cycle IMO is Man vs Nature and Animal; Starting with the Dawn of man, however that took place. I do believe in God, just not organized religion. I cannot get my mind around the image of a microbe crawling out of a pool of whatever one day or night, and 6 billion years later we have a guy waving down a taxi on 5th avenue in New York City. I forget the movie or show that I got that from but its always stuck with me.
Here just like with the three block war theory. I remind everyone that even today you may find yourself in a survival situation i.e. living off the land etc. I would also suggest that Global warming is a cycle of this reoccurring conflict.
2nd cycle IMO is Man vs Man; this I well say started around the time of the advent of agriculture thus your four cradles of civilization came into being. With some men having lots of positions and others doing without, we have people taking things they wanted or needed. I well include here the so called 1st generation of war i.e. the "covet" lol at Westphalia. i.e. state vs. state monopoly on warfare.
To me all manner of changes occur here including the advances of many sciences, starting the 3rd conflict to be discussed in more detail as we go along.
We had the industrial revolution witch IMO brought about the military industrial congressional complex. Mass production of weapons and material. Thus IMO war as a business and a major global export, for industrialized nations, thus WWI. As far as WMDs go, I say these have existed ever scents man began using the same well to drink from i.e. it became as simple as some one throwing an animal carcass into the well. I don't know if it actually accrued but there was the story of the British giving the blankets infected with small pox to the Native Americans.. If it did not accrue IMO it certainly would have worked that way.
Here we also have the various economic systems. I recommend the video "money as debt". The bottom line is that a system base on consumption of natural resources is finite. This is especially true if you do not conserve and recycle. And IMO any attempt to introduce conservation and recycling or alternatives makes for great theory strategically however tactically IMO no one well be the first to take a serious cut in profits. Thus they are suggesting fighting a forest fire with a bucket of water. Today I do not believe B.P. is serious with their latest feel good commercial propaganda messages, this is damage control all the way.
And one last word on the financial systems. IMO all three systems, Communism, Socialist Europe, and the so called free Capitalist here in the U.S. have failed for the same reason. GREED! In Russia it was greed by the officials. And imo Communism is the best and most fair of all and imo, that system even under the corrupt Russian government, would have out lasted the others, if it had not had to compete with the West, especially the U.S. in the Cold war. The wealthy here in the U.S. were the ones that were to greedy and killed our economy. Keeping in mind, imo (911) brought it all to a head much quicker i.e. made those running things throw the book out, in public, thus taking away the illusion of the so called white marketers having the moral high ground.
And in Europe it was the people themselves i.e. wanting it to good, to much vacation, to many benefits, not enough work. Along with their own wealthy, getting caught up in our (U.S.) wealthiest ones, scams. Not to mention they to had to keep up with the Jones (U.S.) and others too.
Now lets talk population control, it has to be fixed i.e. controlled or we are like people trapped in an air tight volt with only a small hole providing air, if we let more in we suffocate quicker. With my one foot equals a mile scaled visualization system I have looked at this, examples I have mentioned before are that 3.1 million people can stand with in a one mile square area with each person having 9 square feet i.e. one square yard to stand in.
So my point is it is a resources problem not a space problem. Like it was mentioned in one of Time Magazine's latest articles. With the people living within the current density of NYC, everyone on earth (est. 7 billion) could fit within the state of Texas.
I well suggest that the Christians and this marriage issue is to blame in large part. The government too with its more benefits if you have more children. Here someone needs to say hay if each of the parents (in case of divorce) cannot afford the kid, you don't have it. But the system I know firsthand is based on promoting the family (i.e. trap) first and foremost. Real life example; I worked for a company once and was the best worker they had ever seen. This in my younger days. However when it came to getting a raise it was explained to me that the other guy and his wife were expecting a baby so he got the raise. I explained to that idiot manager, that he could find two or three other "yes men" to take my place. Because I knew he wanted more people that had "sold there soul" to the company store i.e. that the company knew they had by the short ones. Like I've said this is a big old can of warms, I could go no and no.
3rd cycle of conflict IMO is Separation of Church and State; here we could start with the people in the old testament choosing a King vs the priesthood of judges. Our for fathers left Europe imo to start over and perhaps the middle east is starting on such an experiment today. IMO though it seems the priest i.e. organized religion is never far behind and people are week, so they flip flop back and forth i.e. with the kings/presidents and their church. A really good start would be to I.D. organized religions as one of the problems i.e. keep it as an individual experience, if you would like to be a part of a theocracy then we could provide a list and ticket i.e. Transportation to say Iran or the United Kingdom. Or we here in the U.S. could surrender to the christian's ourselves and await for Armageddon, hoping they have it right i.e. we are on gods side as we watch or porn and sports, behind our electronic security robots.

I missed something here with my little epiphany. Let's look at some terms and excerpts from Time magazine February 21 2011 issue. These are not presented in the exact order of the original article. And slightly modified to get to the points I wanted to make.
Organic intelligence O.I. and Artificial intelligence A.I. Singularity is borrowed from astrophysics; it refers to a point in space- time for example, inside a black hole at which the rules of ordinary physics do not apply.

Computers are getting faster, faster--- that is, the rate at which they're getting faster is increasing. True? True.
He (Mr. Raymond Kurzweil) knew about Moore's law, of course. Kurzweil tried plotting a slightly different curve; the change over time in the amount of computing power, measured in MIPS (millions of instructions per second), that you can buy for $ 1,000. As it turned out Kurzweil's numbers looked a lot like Moore's. They doubled every couple of years. Drawn as graphs, they both made exponential curves, with their value increasing by multiples of two instead of by regular increments in a straight line.
The curves held eerily steady, even when he extended his backwards through the decades of pretransistor computing technologies like relays and vacuum tubes, all the way back to 1900. Kurzweil then ran the numbers on a whole bunch of other key technological indexes, the falling cost of manufacturing transistors, the rising clock speed of microprocessors, the plummeting price of dynamic RAM. He looked even further afield at trends in biotech and beyond the falling cost of sequencing DNA and of wireless data service and the rising numbers of internet hosts and nanotechnology patents.
He Kept finding the same thing; exponentially accelerating progress. "It's really amazing how smooth these trajectories are," he says. "Through thick and thin, war and peace, boom times and recessions." Kurzweil calls it the law of accelerating returns; technological progress happens exponentially , not linearly. Then he extended the curves into the future, and the growth they predicted was so phenomenal, it created cognitive resistance in his mind. Exponential curves start slowly, then rocket skyward toward infinity.
Here's what the exponential curves told him. We well successfully reverse engineer the human brain by the mid-2020s. By the end of that decade, computers will be capable of human level intelligence. Kurzweil puts the date of the "Singularity" never say he's not conservative, at 2045 (I'll be 83 if I live that long)
In that year, he estimates, given the vast increases in computing power and the vast reductions in the cost of the same, the quantity of artificial intelligence created will be about a billion times the sum of all the human intelligence that exists today.
All that horsepower could be put in the service of emulating whatever it is our brains are doing when they create consciousness- not just doing arithmetic very quickly or composing piano music but also driving cars, writing books, making ethical decisions, appreciating fancy painting, or making witty observations at cocktail parties. They would take over their own development.
Probably. It's impossible to predict the behavior of these smarter than human intelligences with which (with whom?) we might one day share the planet, because if you could, you'd be as smart as they would be. But there are a lot of theories to become super intelligent cyborgs, using computers to extend our intellectual abilities the same way that cars and planes extend our physical abilities.
Maybe the artificial intelligences well help us treat the effects of old age and prolong our life spans indefinitely. Maybe we'll scan our consciousnesses into computers and live inside them as software, forever, virtually. Maybe the computes will turn on humanity and annihilate us. The one thing all these theories have in common is the transformation of our species into something that is no longer recognizable as such to humanity circa 2011.
This transformation has a name the "Singularity". The difficult thing to keep sight of when you're talking about the Singularity is that even though it sounds like science fiction, it isn't, no more than a weather forecast is science fiction. It's not a fringe idea; it's a serious hypothesis about the future of life on Earth.
Newjarheaddean; so after reading this article I think back to the movie Matrix (Revolutions) i.e. IMO the machine may never be able to insert an actual "Ghost" i.e. spirit. However it's software may find us humans to be the last frontier of the unknown. And thus unlock the 90% of our brains we currently do not use. This may enable the human mind with the abilities of levitation, telekinesis, ESP etc. thus the old adage of "curiosity killing the cat" i.e. keys to being supreme to the machines. For example taking them apart with our minds.
Let me coin one of my own terms i.e. instead of machinekind why not "Supremekind".
Lastly I well suggest this conflict too is a cycle, for example going back to the first tools used and it could turn out that all those mysteries such as the Pyramids or Stone hedge turn out to indeed be our Supremekind/machinekind ancestry. Oooh Rah!
