Note I just wanted to mention here that I have a real humdinger of a post to publish. It has gotten quit complicated I've only had three hours to organize it all. At one point I had planned on just throwing it out there, not caring if it made to much sense. Then I realized I could post it tomorrow then I realized I could post it next week. LOL, thus the delay of my post today, so see ya then. And now I can turn the computer over to the "Old World".

If I only had a camera on my head, 07/25/13
AHOY,
People like to make fun of me and my making so much of my
coincidences. Well just now a chain continued with the timing so close to my
posting my last “Washing the Corps for Burial part # 7) I just had to rub it
in.
You see today I got me a “new times” magazine. Now while
reading this article on “Black Sabbath’s reunion tour (13). I decided to look
it up on the internet. The article I found was from the San Antonio Express and
it had posted 13 minutes before. I laughed and pointed it out to the “Old World”
and showed him the article I the “New times” mag. He laughed too.
Now after posted my last on “Washing the Corps for burial part
7” I decided to look up T.R. Fehrenbach and below is what I found on Wekipedia.
If I only had had a camera on my head.
T. R. Fehrenbach (born Theodore Reed Fehrenbach; January 12,
1925 in San Benito, Texas) is an American author and former head of the Texas
Historical Commission.[1] He graduated from Princeton University in 1947,[2]
and has published at least 18 non-fiction books, including best seller
Lonestar: A History of Texas and Texans[3] and This Kind of War, about the
Korean War. Although he served as a U.S. Army officer during the Korean War,
his own service is not mentioned in the book. Fehrenbach has also written for
Esquire, The Atlantic, The Saturday Evening Post, and The New Republic.[4] He
is known as an authority on Texas,[5] Mexico and the Comanche people.[citation
needed] He currently writes a weekly column on Sundays for the San Antonio
Express-News.

Washing the Corps for Burial part # 7
AHOY,
Update: 12:30 hours 1/11/14
Weather
anyone believes it or not I did not know what I now know about SoN Jim
Webb before reading chapter four in this book “making the Corps”. As you
may know I do have some of Webb’s statements in my Fragmented Fighting
Facts. These I got from sources that like the book “making the Corps”
mentioned Webb’s statements. However I’ve never read any of the books he
authored. Nor did I ever know any of this “pipe dream” history talked
about in chapter four. I posted this chapter four last week in my
“Washing the Corps for burial” series of posts part # 6.
Update: 12:30 hours 1/11/14
After
graduating from Annapolis, Webb was commissioned as a second lieutenant
in the U.S. Marine Corps. Note; he did not become a "Marine" he was
commissioned into the corp, LOL just like old coward ass Conway. As a
first lieutenant during the Vietnam War he served as a platoon commander
with Delta Company, 1st Battalion 5th Marines.
Newjarheaddean;
I found this info on Wekipedia, after Surfing for info on SoN Webb and
CMC Gen. Gray. Wikipedia reports Gen. Gray is 87 and living in
California.
From the book “making the Corps”
Page 146, this page was posted in part six, however I did not post my note for this page at the time and figured it would now be best posted with this information.
The reading list here if you notice is all Strategic. Mao
Tse-tung’s “On guerilla warfare” might be your best bet for a tactical note or
two. You see like I have said the so called experts are always saying tactics
are for the armatures. However If you go to any public library you can find row
upon row of books on strategies of warfare. Even the master’s i.e. Sun Tzu’s
book “the art of war” is available. So how could it be that the system would
let this all important knowledge on warfare “the crown jewels” get out into the
public domain? I mean Al-queda might find one of those books man. (sarcasm on).
And you well play hell, finding any books on tactics, you are lucky, if like me
you can find one or two rules buried in each book you read for the purpose of
drama. Lots of books use the word tactics with their tittles too. This imo is
to attract readers that everyone knows are looking for tactics. You see tactics
are how you kill your enemy and that’s how you win.
And everyone has a you know what and a strategy too.
Here are some pages out of the book “This kind of War” “Korea; a lesson in unpreparedness” by T.R.
Fehrenbach.
Pages 234 and 245- 251
Newjarheaddean; so not even “lions being lead by lambs”
the U.S. it appears is full of sheep learning quickly to work with the sheep
dog.
However Alexander the Great stated.
Statement upon seeing Bucephalas being led away as useless
and beyond .... An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions
led by a sheep.
Newjarheaddean; imo there is not even a lion leading this
nation. It’s a board of CEOs in bed with the rest of the “haves” of the world.
Page 252
The sentence finishes as fallows; and…it put United States
strength to its best use, while minimizing American weaknesses.
Newjarheaddean; One problem with all this is found in the
pages of the books “forward”. “From the fighting however inconclusive”
i.e. some “holly wroth” see sentence
below on page XVI of book i.e. in image.
Forward;
So this nation is never going to be about producing real
commando type warriors. Special Forces imo for America means specially equipped
and supported with lots of high tech gear equipment etc.
I am a Lion for tactics and this nation is a strategic
thinking sheepheard i.e. hood. And I must state that as we know war is HELL.
And this nation dose not have any intention of training to fight it with any shivery. So I must ask, why “piece meal” it at all? Why make the next generation of youth go through
all the death, suffering and maiming? Look at Iraq and Afghanistan. “from the fighting however inconclusive”. Why
not use weapons of mass destruction and get it over quickly? You know the old “Hama”
model theory on a global scale.
Or much better yet, learn to get along and always strive for
peace!
The answer I am afraid is MONEY i.e. you can’t make money
that way. This nation is all about playing war.
Weather anyone believes me or not I could give a Shiite less,
lol. Its just true and one example of why I keep wishing for that camera on my
head. Anyone who knows me can ask the “old world”. We were watching T.v. one night and I
just happen dial up the NBA draft of this year. We lessened to that old player
from Dallas, that is now going to coach “kid” or whatever his nick name is
Jason Kid. Anyways I looked over at the “old world” after lessening to "kid" for
about a minute, talking about how this draftee pick was going to bring so much
energy to the game and how he could really get up and down the court etc. I
then said can you believe that crock I mean these guys really need to be taking
to the battlefield I mean put on the front lines and play ball.
I also told the "old world" of how imo players like "kid" i.e. of his height range were allowed to play so children lol I said kids, would have the illusion that one day I could play too.
The next day I started reading my book “This kind of war”.
When I finished the forward I asked the “Old world” to lesson to this and I
read him the part about the sports analogy and then the end i.e. T.R.F. July 4
1962 in San Antonio Texas.

If I only had a camera on my head
AHOY,
Update; 05/09/14 13:41 hours, I can now correct myself here i.e. I got these first image from a book 1963 world encyclopedia, a bought at a thrift store called "out of the closet" located on Biscayne, just down the street from where me and the old world lived in miami. At the time it was my only option for buying cheap books. I was still trying to keep my location some what secret right after we had moved to miami. So I said library not thrift store. Now here back in san antonio texas i can buy books at the library.
And I don't give a shit if anyone believe me or not its on video. I found and tore out of another 1963 world book encyclopedia, this same image just last week. Now here is the real kicker, I just decide a few minutes ago to look up and review my old "all still crazy after all these years" series of posts and this one not any other one was the one i selected to review first. Yes, I set down on the second floor of this library just last week or so and tore out this same image, so I would not have to carry the entire "heavy" book with me. The image is in my locker. I should be at work right now, but I did not make it today.
End of update;
Original post;
I just found these images the other day at the library. I thought they would just make a wicked combination for a Sunday post, lol. The eclipse occurred July 20 1963.

Washing the Corps for burial, part # 6
AHOY,
Update: 12:29 hours 1/11/14
After
graduating from Annapolis, Webb was commissioned as a second lieutenant
in the U.S. Marine Corps. Note; he did not become a "Marine" he was
commissioned into the corp, LOL just like old coward ass Conway. As a
first lieutenant during the Vietnam War he served as a platoon commander

Newjarheaddean;
I found this info on Wekipedia, after Surfing for info on SoN Webb and
CMC Gen. Gray. Wikipedia reports Gen. Gray is 87 and living in
California.
I decided to skip around a bet on this book, seeing how I’m
not posting the book in its entirety anyhow. I think this is the best chapter
in this book. It’s a great read, even if it is a pipe dream.
Here the main point I wish to bring up is that imo Webb and
Gray may have truly wanted to make the corps a warrior i.e. “Commando”, John
Wayne if you well, type of organization. However imo, neither man well ever
admit that the opposition to their goal that they ran into, was, the “FEAR of
true commando types” that I speak of in my Preface to the Fragmented Fighting
Facts.
And for those that have not read my Preface to my Fragmented
Fighting Facts, it goes like this, those running the show have no intention of producing
vast quantities of true masters of warfare that could turn against a feature
generation of this governments career politicians that imo are as corrupt as
they get.
Page 134
I like this right out in the open list of so called American
heroes. I prefer the term “usual suspects” and lets not forget the current SoD Hagel.
And then here back on 06/06/13 while watching PBS the show
segment Eifel Quin was hosting. She had this guy Michael Beschloss, on who
showed an image of Bill Clinton, Bush senior and George Wallis taken in 1983 in
Georgia I believe. There are lots of points I could make here, but I guess the
most important one is that the media did not make anything of this gathering at
the time.
And I just happen to see this show and they also had on the
Author of “Guns at last light” you can look up the coincidence on the timing if
you care, LOL I had posted about that book.
Link;
Page 137
The reduction in platoon size is a good thing and I say that
those who are not real tall and there for do not find themselves standing in
the front of the formation all the time. Do not have it as difficult as us tall
Marines. LOL just to keep dividing up the real Marines from the rest, LOL.
(sarcasm on) My point is the smaller platoons like school class rooms give the
D.I.s more time to challenge/train each Marine.
Page 138-39
I like Michael Asher’s observation i.e. imo Mr Asher is
stating that it is the MICC (military industrial congressional complex) that is
the problem, and I agree.
{Statement by Michael Asher an SAS member, living with a nomadic tribe in the Sahara. This
tribe valued nothing so much as courage and endurance they were a stern rugged
people who had survived for centuries where survival was only just possible.
These nomads lived by a code as strict as anything I had known in the SAS. A
man must defend his traveling companions until death. He must offer hospitality
to complete strangers and guard them with his life while they dwelt in his
tent. He must share every last drop of water and every last piece of food. He
must take upon himself the sacred duty of revenge especially for an affront to
the honor of his tribe. These people had no outlets for their violence as we
had had in the army. I realized there were no fist-fights to determine pecking
order, no milling. Fist fights are after all a kind of game played to a set of
conventions. These nomads did not know how to make a fist; they carried daggers
and were not slow to use them. Every fight was a fight to the death. To them,
war was a limited affair, a skirmish in which one or two people were killed and
honor was satisfied, in a fight to defend your life, wife, land or livestock.
These were things a man could fight for. I thought there was no shame in being
a warrior, it had been and honorable profession since the dawn of time. However
our society had become so huge and complex that you were fighting not for
things that really mattered but for abstract concepts or merely a police
action. It was then that I learned my final lesson, fight, but do not fight
another man’s war. These nomads had few of the illusions of so called
civilization. They did not as Carl Gustav Jung said, “believe in the welfare
state, in universal peace, in the equality of man, in his eternal human rights,
in justice, truth or the kingdom of god on earth”. There struggle for existence
over the millennia had taught them the sad truth. Man’s life, is a complex of
inexorable (relentless) opposites day and night, birth and death, happiness and
misery, good and evil. They are not sure, even that one will prevail against
the other, or that good will avenge evil or joy defeat pain. Life is a battle
ground. It always has been and it always well be. If it were not so, existence
would come to an end. The ability of people to dehumanize anyone outside their
own tribe is the sole cause of war. It is also paradoxically the reason for
human survival. The world exists in harmony, but everywhere nature is in
conflict tooth and claw. Conflict is what gives nature its structure. Adversity
like love, makes you a person, it defines you and gives you an identity.
Identity not food or land is what the fighting is really about. The enemy is
what makes you yourself. Without the enemy you are nothing}.
Page 142,
And on Beirut, we all know that the Marines should not have been in hotel rooms like they were on vacation. And general Kelly imo was bring up that point by saying he did not have command of that unit i.e. the state department had used a travel agency for billeting i.e. the U.S.M.C. had not deploy a Marine MEU.
I’ll hold my fire with the rest of my comments here for now.
